Emeryville, Calif., May 3, 2006 — Bernie Skomra has joined BigFix, Inc. as senior vice president, global sales. Skomra, age 44, brings more than 20 years of senior management experience to BigFix, where he has responsibility for managing direct and indirect revenue channels for the company. Prior to joining BigFix, Skomra served as executive vice president, worldwide field operations for Solidcore Systems, a provider of endpoint security solutions. Before Solidcore, Skomra was founder, president and chief operating officer of Apacheta Corporation. Prior to Apacheta, Skomra was vice president, North American field operations for Portal Software. He has also held senior management and individual contributor positions at Oracle Corporation, General Electric and IBM. Skomra holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from The Ohio State University.
